Situation
Information has appeared in the media that the company “Žemaitijos keliai” (ŽK) is laying off 128 employees. In search of these employees, Fegda group has decided to find an effective way to inform ŽK employees that they can hire all the laid-off workers.
Challenge/Obstacles
The opportunity to jump through the communication window – to get the media to supplement the existing publications about the dismissal of employees of the ŽK with comments from the Fegda group.
A need to act quickly, as information about changes at ŽK appears in the afternoon, that is, the time window to supplement the information is very short.
Task
To spread more widely through the media information about the intention to hire employees of the company without preparing a separate announcement, but supplementing existing media publications.
Decisions
- Comment prepared for the media.
- The comment is quickly distributed to every channel where the publication about ZK appeared.
- Information is rapidly spread on social networks.
Results
- ZK employees show interest, as well as several dozen potential employees who do not work at ZK but, after seeing the company’s communication, are interested in the opportunities to work at Fegda group companies.
